Appalling service when it comes to obtaining an appointment. Attempts to phone the surgery are often met with a constantly engaged tone and when answered reception staff often put the caller on hold. They also have the tendency to be somewhat curt almost to the point of rudeness. Reception is closed between midday and 2 p.m. so that reception staff can do 'vital administrative work'. Some of the doctors at the site are professional and courteous, others less so. The service has deteriorated since Dr Bland left in 2015, indeed the new notice on the front of the building is even spelt wrong stating that it is a 'Medical Pratice'.

I have been a member of this GP Practice for many years. I always struggle to get an appointment, God forbid you need to see a doctor somewhat urgently as you have no chance! The telephone lines are always engaged, the reception staff are very rude, blunt and unhelpful; often answering the phone with just "Hello?!" leaving you to actually query whether you have phoned the right number.

I am currently registered at this gp.. I asked for a letter confirming me & my family's registration.. The manager said it will be ready in a weeks time. So a week later i go & she says come tomorrow.. I go again the next day & apparently she had her day off... This cannot be accepted as we have been waiting for 3 weeks now!! Ive been trying to contact them via telephone but it is always busy!!

I said 'I don't think you're being very helpful here', to which she responded, 'i'll put you through to the practice manager, Karen Osbourne.' (I hadn't even asked, then I was put on hold for two minutes). After this, 'Karen is in a meeting'.

I asked if I could book one for any time, to which she responded, 'we don't have one for two weeks. I can get you one for thursday in two weeks. Oh no, that's gone now', as if it had just dissapeared from time and space.

I could not believe my ears, a simple appointment booking had turned into this fiasco, I said to Jan, I'll go to the polyclinic then. That was that, no appointment booked, spoken rudely too, and 10 minutes of my life wasted.

The reception staff are absolutley atrocious in this place. I called today, asked very politely that I'd like to book an appointment, and was told bluntly. 'We don't have any appointments'. It was if the conversation was over, and I had to follow up with, 'you don't have any appointments? ever?'.

I very rarely see the same doctor twice, although the doctors are usually very professional and do seem to try their best to help you. The best thing about this practice was the nurse, Joyce, she was a lovely lady who was overly helpful - she has now left!

The Admin staff need to be retrained in doing E.P.S There is a comment box for Patients to add extra instructions. It never gets read! Twice my instructions have been ignored. The Answer phone message says the phones are off from 12.30 till 2.30. Rubbish ! They are never turned on for ages!!
